Maybe Trump should concentrate on getting scientists to do research on a vaccine, manufacturing testing facilities and PPE, and a testing and containment plan, sane logical sequence to get people back to work, instead of playing the blame game, pointing fingers, politics and worrying about the next election. Pointing fingers can happen when this is all over BTW..this applies to everyone, including the other side- the Democrats, Media and Foreign press, government and individuals as well.. Now is not the time to waste energy on the "Blame Game"..plenty of time in a year or 2 dude, what you think hes been doing you dork, go talk to your president Trudeau and see what he is doing lol We don have a presidient, and I think he is an idiot too-giving away $ like adrunken sailor- maybe even more then Prime Minister Trump..or King Trump maybe. The only ones who seem to have a clue is Korea and Taiwan. Duque made a good move closing early, but Colombia is limited by tetsing facilities, ICU an the edical system in general. Only Dorks are the sheep that kiss Trumps a$$ and believe every word he says, just as much as the other side with the "Orange Man Bad" Trump derangement syndrome...who think he caused the virus and every other calamaty in history.

I agree that the colombian numbers are low and erratic because of lack of testing-but because of its relative isolation and early implementation of the shut down, the situation is infinitely better at this stage than in the US and Europe.

So far , it seems. I think we'll know better in the coming weeks and May.

www.aa.com.tr/en/asia-pacific/covid-19-no-new-case-in-taiwan-as-strategy-bears-fruit/1804256Taiwan’s effective response has been attributed to its "early preparedness, health expertise, government competence, and popular alertness." The low case count has been ensured without a complete lockdown. Schools and businesses continue normal operations, but people have been asked to wear protective masks and strictly follow COVID-19 precautions. Taiwan, which has a population of over 23 million, recorded the lowest number of cases per million people anywhere in the world over the past 50 days, according to the Oxford University-based research group Our World in Data. Australia has modelled it's response from Taiwan, Singapore. We have also modelled our fiscal approach like the USA. Our government has given away $320 billion in stimulus. Population $25 million people. Effectively destroyed our economy for generations.

Same with Canada Thing about Taiwan , Hong Kong and Singapore is also they dont eat bats and that kind of sh1t...even though there are mostly Chinese there..seems to be a mainland China thing.

You are not comparing apples to apples when you compare the Colombia’s and Canada’s of the world infant there is no equal comparison to the USA. The United States runs more foreigners thru the NYC airports in a small time than Colombia does in a year. Cansada does have the population of the USA neither is a global power economically. To credit the response or compare the response of either country to the United States is irresponsible and not logical. What happens in the United States is felt around the world nobody is worried about the Colombia’s and Canada’s of the world except the citizens of those countries. Just the hard and simple truth

China now knows it can devastate the US without even firing one missle, just start another virus. Covid 19 was just a minor test run, wait till they unleash the real virus.. You boys better start learning how to use chop sticks.

You can actually make the oposite argument. A lot of COVID!) deaths are atributable more to other preexisting conditions people have. And this argument is coming from a lot more medicaly informed sources.

Everybody seems to say how great and unbiased AlJazeera is- but They seem to be quoting the UN a Lot, which makes the unbiased claim lose a lot of credibility

Been playing with the calculator, using the Chinese site Worldometers which seems fairly accurate except for numbers coming out of China. Out of 2.633.064 infected 183.882 died which is 7% 690.226 have recovered which is 26% 1.758.956 which is 67% of the total infected are bogging down the health care systems of the entire world of which many countries are unprepared and can barely afford to keep the serious and critical 57.254 which is 3.25% of those cases hospitalized.
Apparently 1.701.702 cases of which many have refused hospitalization or are put on the back-burner for obesity, advanced cancer, diabetes or damaged lungs from smoking, like emphysema have decided to die at home surrounded by family or are miraculously recovering.
The death rate versus recoveries has been right around 20% versus 80% recovered.
In Colombia we have 4356 cases and 206 deaths at this early point in time of the corona invasion, about a hundred serious and critical and 870 recovered. Remember we are maybe a couple of months behind Western Europe (which seems to have reached it's peak of new infections now) so the virus will take it's course here too until a substantial number of the old and/or sick and a few younger over-weight and obese with health problems are dying until we will have an approved vaccine, maybe toward the end of the year or the beginning of next year, who knows. Don't let the momentary low death rate here fool you, the worst is yet to come. There is no other way of explaining it, sorry.
As to Colombia, if Bogotá keeps sending funds which are supposed to keep the poor from starving to ghost accounts, we will have wide spread robberies and youngsters will grab your grocery bags when you leave the store and take off with them like a rabbit. Colombia needs to stop pussyfooting around with theft and corruption in government and condemn the bastards to a minimum 5 year jail sentence with no chance of parole and confiscation of their entire assets, or the country will never recover, add to that the loss of their main export commodity, oil. And they won't get much outside help either because every other country is in dire straits too.

Especially the senile and Alzheimer cases aren't able to keep social distance.
I've read on German news about 80% of their corona dead came out of retirement homes.
The UK seems to have similar statistics.
Al Jazeera is a far from perfect source, naturally very Islam oriented. But not as biased as CNN and Fox News has actually very little and often outdated information.

So a lot of good locking everybody down did. Everybady in Quarantine, world economy in a mess, and the old and sick still died. Would have, and still is much better to just quarantine the okld and sick and have armed guards at the door to ensure nobody gets in and test all the staff entering and leaving and put them in "Clean Room" suits.

Maybe you've got something there, if they would have kept visitors and infected caretakers out of retirement homes there wouldn't have been half as many dead and a lot less hysteria demanding lock-downs.

I see nothing wrong with that, as long as they dont force healthy people to stay locked down
