Russia ‘will pay’ for Holodomor
Russia “will pay” for a Soviet-era famine known as Holodomor (“death by hunger”) that killed millions of Ukrainians during the winter of 1932-33, including for its actions now in Ukraine, the head of Ukraine’s presidential administration said on Saturday. “The Russians will pay for all of the victims of the Holodomor and answer for today’s crimes,” Andriy Yermak wrote on Telegram. Saturday marked Ukraine’s annual memorial day for the victims of Holodomor.
In November 1932, the Soviet Union leader Joseph Stalin ordered police to seize all grain and livestock from Ukrainian farms, including seeds required for the next crop.
Scholars debate the precise number of victims that died during that winter but most estimate ranging from three-and-a-half to seven million people.

There is more chance the Blacks or American Indian would get reparation's from the US, than any Ukrainians getting it from Russia. Its a joke this guy would even suggest it. It just shows the Ukrainian officials have lost the plot.

They aren't talking about reparations from Russia, that would be impossible; they've got their eyes on Russian money in western countries bank accounts and investments, high end property, Russian oligarchs yachts and aircraft that have been frozen or confiscated when the invasion of the Ukraine started. Apparently there is lots of Russian wealth outside of Russia, like in the UK and Switzerland.

SB, you need to look at the big picture. The Ukraine is fighting the war - for us in the West, trying to bring the Evil Empire to it's knees, sacrificing it's people and it's infrastructure for their freedom and also for ours. This war is costly, for western taxpayers and for Ukrainian families who found themselves without a father for their children or their own bed to sleep in, or driven out of their country exceeding 15 million now to seek safety. Granted, without material and financial help from the West the war would have been over several months ago, but with what results? The Ukraine, the largest country in Europe, which also has the most commodities, would have again become a Russian Satellite State, it's tremendous exports lost for the Free World. Their people living in misery and without hope of someday liberating themself. Any revolt would have been brutally depressed and the participants locked up for life if not outright killed; wouldn't be the first time. And Russia stronger than ever and a continuing menace for the free World. The Ukraine is not Iraq, we weren't fighting there to stop communism and considering their idiotic Islamic stone age culture, spreading Democracy was out of the question. Ukrainians are our kind of people, no vicious brutal religious views there. It is said you have to live in a communist state to appreciate freedom. I have, was robbed of my youth, and still cherish the day when I was able to escape. But that's neither here nor there, am glad I didn't stay in Europe. What Western Europe did was a disgrace to their populace, inviting millions of young single Muslim males into their society who were praised in the beginning of the migrant onslaught as an asset to the economy and the dwindling population. But most of them ended up to this day, more than seven years later, in the social welfare system and on the street, being a menace to the locals and raping their women and underage girls on almost a daily basis, because they wore miniskirts or shorts and blouses, therefore being whores in their distorted Islamic views. I say, lets support the Ukraine with anything we can spare to stop Russian advances, weaken their military and economy as best we can and isolate the bastards. Lets see how far Russia can progress with their friendly economically starving countries like North Korea, Iran, India, Pakistan, Venezuela and communist orientated South Africa, mooching of Russia for low priced commodities. The Democrats will continue spending money like drunken sailors anyway, they might as well spend it on a worthwhile cause with our future in mind.

15h ago (10:21 GMT) EU to explore legal options on granting Ukraine frozen Russian assets
The European Commission is exploring legal options with the EU’s partners to use confiscated Russian assets to compensate Kyiv for damage to the country.
Western officials have debated for months how to legally seize Russian assets held abroad that are frozen by sanctions.
The problem is that in most EU member states, seizing frozen assets is only legally possible where there is a criminal conviction.
“We have blocked 300 billion euros of the Russian Central Bank reserves and we have frozen 19 billion euros of Russian oligarchs’ money,” Ursula von der Leyen, president of the EU’s executive, said in a statement.
She said that in the short term, the EU and its partners could manage the funds and invest them, and the proceeds would go to Ukraine.
“We will work on an international agreement with our partners to make this possible. And together, we can find legal ways to get to it,” she said.

The oil price cap is a simple solution. 27 European countries have in unity decided to pay no more than US$60 for the time being for a barrel of oil that comes from Russia. Putin can take it or leave it. It is actually an other form of sanctions to harm Russia's war expenditures and further isolate Russia from the West.

So what does Europe plan to do if Russia says, go pound sand.. LOL We want market price or we will not sell you a drop? Europe is already in a bad energy situation. If they stop buying Russian oil Europeans will be freezing to death. I think if Putin calls there bluff they dont have a choice. They could pay more for Saudi oil but then whoever is now buying Saudi oil will have to buy Russian oil. There is a world wide oil shortage now. If there was an oil glut this may work but that's not where the world is right now. Mainly because the US, due to Biden's policies is restricting US oil production. If US oil was turned loose to frack and drill over time the price would come down as world supply increased.

Europe has decided it is no longer dependent on Russian oil, they have reactivated nuclear and coal burning power plants and are getting away from importing Russian fossil fuels. They are also working overtime installing terminals and facilities to accept liquid gas and convert it to regular gas. Several tankers containing liquid gas are laying of the European coast ready to unload. The EU also struck a deal with Poland which will supply them with oil through the Norwegian pipeline. They must have considered their chances of surviving a potentially harsh winter or they wouldn't have agreed to the new law that takes effect tomorrow, Dec. 5 Apparently Europeans are also willing to pay more, but not to Russia because of it's brutal warfare. Europeans are much closer to the scene of the crime in neighboring Ukraine and are willing to accept sacrifices, if just for moral reasons, than liberal Americans who figure out their whole life in dollars and cents.
