This Russian oligarch isn't very encouraging to hear. I'm sure, Putin won't take the liberation of the city Lyman lying down, that lies inside the declared provinces he swore to protect. He might just bomb this city to smithereens, occupied with people, lock, stock and barrel as an act of revenge and to get his point across for the Ukrainians to back off. One MOAB style conventional bomb like the one used in Afghanistan would do it rather than week-long air raids if he is desperate enough. He can't back out of the war now, he would be finished, either dead or ridiculed by every Russian while being alive. How NATO would respond is hard to say, it wouldn't be with more sanctions. Maybe a strong NATO force will occupy the Ukraine, with troops from every willing NATO member and a declared no-fly zone. Blue helmets maybe like used in Yugoslavia to keep peace?
If Putin goes nuclear, Europe will be in an uproar, remembering Chernobyl and the nuclear fallout. A low yield nuclear bomb will be many times stronger. Europeans will call for a general strike to get out of NATO... What will be Biden's response then? Surely an uncertain future for the Europeans and for NATO.

The tide seems to be turning in favor of the Ukrainians for the time being. That the Russians are withdrawing is surely a miracle considering their overwhelming manpower and might. What their following evil response will be is to be seen.

I'm not a military strategist, (nor played one on TV), but I can't help but wonder if Putin is giving Ukraine a false sense of security. By luring them into strategic position only to counter attack the Ukrainian army with a 'low yield' nuclear device, thereby removing most obstacles to drive all the way to the heart of Ukraine. One may say that Putin would not do it because of winds and fall-out would have irreversible harm on Russia. But he has shown he doesn't care about his own people by throwing them away at a war that has become a stalemate for them. His only desire is to feed his own ego. It maybe passé to say this but he is the modern day Hitler with dreams of reforming the once U.S.S.R. and world dominance along with China and his smaller 'lap-dogs'. He also knows the UN is nothing but a eunuch and could never muster enough votes on the security council, of which they are a major player along with China, to do anything. Whether NATO would strengthen their alliance will remain to be seen.

It won't be long now WS and the Russians will turn against their fearless leader.
Putin's pride and joy, protected by his personal guards. There will be a fierce reaction, maybe extensive bombing of Kiev or Odessa? The Ukraine really needs a No-Fly zone or the war will never end.

vikingo said: Agreed. Every once in a while we hear word of some sort of Russian uprising going on but they tend to prevent it from making it to the media.

I hesitated to post what I had prepared several days ago on MS Word, risking getting banned from the forum. But I can't control myself any longer after I saw an interview with number 2 on my list. Anti Americans and Putin Admirers - Our Enemies Within While most decent men in the Western World abhor Putin and his brutality on civilians and wish he would burn in hell, countless disgusting characters have decided to betray our cause and praise Putin for his criminal actions in the Ukraine and condemn NATO countries. I will try to list some and add more as I encounter them on YouTube or in the news media. Their treacherous views can easily be googled or found on Wikipedia. 1. Scott Ritter 2. Douglas Macgregor 3. John Mearsheimer And now to Putin’s busom-buddys 4. Gerhard Schröder (former German chancellor) 5. Oliver Stone 6. Steven Seagal Dare I mention Andrew Napolitano? I tried to search for his political views and run into this: www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=andrew+napolitano+inditements+for+sexual+molestation
