I am considering buying a laser tv + screen. Expensive, a bit. ($ 6000 US). Trying my best to figure out taxes. IVA is 19%, import tax is 20%. So, is approx. 39% or only one , then which one. Searched the internet, not successful. thanks in advance.

Not to sure if this will be helpful however we bought a solar exhaust fan for the attic.
Amazon cost was $316 US. At the time the exchange rate was $4,000 to 1.
When said and done, the fan cost me $500 US, so $2,000,000 COP. Right about at 39% and I figure there was some shipping in volved as well.
When the package arrived, I got a notice from DIAN to go and make a payment with the bank. Thought it was a scam so we directly to DIAN, was real, made the payment and they sent me my fan.
I appreciate you want the TV, but I will never buy something imported over $200 US again...bandits...chuckle.
Hope this helps, be well!

I get the import tax, most countries have it.
What I don't get is paying import tax on stuff you cannot buy in country.
Tax me if I'm importing coffee or other stuff ready available here, but go easy on me if one can't get it here.
Most people will comply with a small simple things, but 40% is evil.
Be well
