Just an opinion, so not worth much however, I'm thinking he got himself backed into a corner.
I'm not sure he really wanted to win in the first place, it just sort of happened. The dude is a professional complainer most comfortable standing very close to the lime light tossing rocks at others...kind of like his "first line" idiots.
I think now he'd take another four years as the money is pretty good and he has found a way to continue to blame others for stuff so he is in his comfort zone.
I doubt the country is going to allow this train wreck to continue, but it is Colombia so one needs to be cautious.
Be well.

My fear daluz is that he has a decent amount of public opinion on his side, the strato 1,2,3. Those are the ones who want the hand-outs the most. With Colombia being a Republic, I thought its government is more akin to the US where you need to get a large majority of the states, or in this case the departments, to ratify any changes to the constitution. Although I will admit my knowledge of Colombian government is rather limited, (other than it is a republic and corrupt!). Just like other Latino countries, I fear that he will make himself a dictator by fiat. I do think there is enough of the military to oppose him and he just doesn't have the support in Congress and the Senate. But it is Colombia and things that you don't think about occur on a whim! That is what scares me the most!

Wildstubby,
No, I get it. The US is just as corrupt but we feel it less as there are 350-400 million folks living there and each state is a bit different. We feel the corruption here more and there are less people and face it, there is a real lack of education and critical thinking skills on display here.
I have several family members who voted for the dude, and they are now all pissed off because he did not give them what he promised...if one had better education and critical thinking skills, they'd have realized he promised nothing. So I think the dude is losing support with the estrato 1, 2, and 3.
I live in a 3 neighborhood and folks are mad. Gasoline, natural gas, electric, water and the basic food basket items have all gone up. My neighbors are feeling the pinch and they are not amused. My neighbors aren't the type to hit the streets and light stuff on fire, but they do vote and some are having voters remorse.
So agree, it is something to watch and I like that it keeps getting called out in various media that the guy is a wanna be dictator to keep people thinking about it.
Be well!

Agree it is clickbait.
I'm admitting my bias right now, but whatever has even a hint of truth to it, and is against the current president and his supporters, I'm all for it.
Be well

I know the cuñado has been bítching about him for about a year and a half now. He is a doctor down there and they have been threatened by the government that Bogota will be determining what the medical charges are to be! Another batch of unsatisfied customers!
