Look at my little town of Neiva coming in 7th place for traffic road deaths... From the article: "And according to the National Road Safety Agency in June of the current year, it noted: “the cities that increased the most deaths between January and June 2023 are: Bogotá, D.C., Cali, Sincelejo, Santa Marta, Yopal, Neiva, Villavicencio, Medellín , Montería and Pereira." diariodelhuila.com/que-no-lo-sorprendan-los-controles-viales-de-fin-de-ano/Mrs Daluz and I have really slowed down our scooter use. We used to drive all over Colombia on our Suzuki 125 just messing about but anymore we limit ourselves to the neighborhood for the most part. Combination of us getting older and stats like the article. How about you guys, you all still drive? Be well!

You and Mrs. daluz are brave people. I've seen these 'cast of characters' on motos and scooters. The one carrying a slaughtered hog by the passenger is unbelievable. Then you have those in the four-wheelers who have once too many times been slighted or cut off by a two-wheeler and is tired of them being able to freely pass through the toll roads, take out a two-wheeler just out of some sort of vengeance! I used to think that Italy was bad for traffic until I came to Colombia. And where else in the world do they set up traffic signals like staging lites at a drag race where the lites go from red to yellow to green?

Agree. There has been a huge increase in aggressive driving and road rage in the past few years.

I had been living in the Dominican Republic but I am now back in Colombia. It is a breath of fresh air in regards to the driving here and the lack of loud motorcycles. You haven't seen crazy driving etc. until you have spent time in the DR,Colombia roads are 110% safer in every way.
