Hi All, I received the attached notice today from the administration of my apt. in Bogota. Has anyone else received one? Seems they are demanding the "Certificado de Tradicion y Libertad" from all owners in my building. They've never requested this in the 9 years I've owned the apartment and I'm wondering what their goals are in attaining this document. And what are the implications? I assume it has something to due with taxes but I wanted to get some feedback from other Colombian property owners here. Thanks in advance for any thoughts!  ![]() |

Where are you at? My wife was very curious about this and commented it didn't make sense they would want this info. She is goin to check into it a little just in case its something new that could affect us too. But as of now nothing at our complex.

Ok.. I am just north of you in Cajica. We owned our place about 6 years and never had anything YET. I will let you know if she finds out anything.

Sounds strange, DIAN could get these certificates directly from the online. Do you declare renta in Colombia?

Was this just a notice put in your mail by the admin, or was it a letter to each owner from DIAN? If the admin put this in your mail he should be able to show you the letter requiring him to ask each owner this info.

It was a notice given to every owner as a general letter. I did find this notice from DIAN (see attached). Attachments:
