Hola, I hope I am posting in the right section.
To make a long story short, I am trying to buy a new Nissan Frontier 4x4 pickup truck, so I can live out in the country (i.e., on a dirt road), but I am having trouble paying for it. Does anyone have any ideas how I can pay for it?
Details:
In the States I always buy good reliable used vehicles, to save money. So here I looked first for a good reliable used truck, but every vehicle I looked at had some kind of problem, and did not pass peritaje (mechanical review). Reliability is important to me as I want to live out in the country--so now I am willing to pay for a new vehicle, but I cannot figure out how to pay for it.
I found a Nissan Frontier 4x4 pickup, but for some reason Nissan won´t take a bank wire from the US (which I totally don't get. Maybe they don't like money?? Haha).
After that I thought I would try to pay for it by credit card. (I thought I would pay half, then pay off that balance, and then wait a day and charge the second half, and pay that off), but the credit card authorization never made it to my bank (USAA).
Next, my Colombian friend took me to Bancolombia to open an account, thinking I could send the money to myself by Transferwise (kind of like Western Union) or bank wire, except Bancolombia has a limit of $7,000 US a month, and $25,000 a year, and that won´t cover the cost.
Help! Haha.
I don't get it. Surely people transfer money to pay for cars, land, and houses, etc.? So how do I do that??
I did the math, and I thought that maybe I could hit the ATM machine 137 times or something?? (Haha.)
After a truck I want to look for some land, but how will I pay for that?? (1,370 trips to the ATM?? Hahaha, oy.)
How do peope transfer money to buy cars, houses, and land?
Muchísimas gracias.
