I am scheduled to get my 2nd COVID shot next Monday. I asked Clara, my wife's best friend and the director of health for our pueblo, if there is a vaccine shortage. She said she wasn't aware of one and that next week's vaccine order arrived this morning. Calling the people in the medical field "idiots" is an uncalled for low blow and shows no class. These people put themselves at risk everyday treating patients with the virus. They should be commended, not ridiculed. I believe that the only IDIOT in the room is you. - JAMES

james said: As a view from afar, (as in a different country altogether), it is not easy to not be critical about the medical decisions being made in Colombia. Granted, lumping all medical personnel into one category is not called for. But since this pandemic started in earnest, its not hard to feel mudd's and other's frustration with how the Colombian government has handled it, (frankly stated, I don't think the US is a model in integrity either), or their equivalent of the CDC. There are the 'worker bees' that are doing a tremendous job with what they have, and then there are the 'higher-ups' who one questions their decision making process!

You have a point. Trouble is ... the government wants to open things up and let the economy recover. They leave holidays wide open so that people spend money. In my mind it's the government's fault not the medical people's when cases pick up. But, in either case, this pandemic is really being poorly handled. Sorry about the "idiot" thing. I overreacted. - JAMES
