Both of them entered a relationship with lies, him about being a millionare and she about her age, off to a bad start. It seemed her parents were very enthusiastic about their daughter marrying a millionare and went way out of their way. I'm sure it all fell apart when truth came to light about him being wealthy. If he had played his cards right, he would have been honest and helped her the best he could with her education, I doubt her parents would have rejected him if he settled in the Phillipines for good and helped out. Poor people in Third World countries are usually apreciative about any help they can get. Him wanting to get married with such an age difference and his limited resources and wanting to take her to Canada was as crazy as his constant creepy laughing and getting his daughter involved in his relationship. The girl was no catch to write home about either, who already looked chubby at 17 and more like a 27 year old. She seemed very street-wise though and it appeared everything she said was well rehearsed. I also noticed again that many Asian women have a strange gate, they seem to walk like they are in the last months of pregnancy, with their legs apart, like they are afraid to fall. The video was taken 9 years ago when he was 74 and appeard fragile. I wonder how this ended.

The part I found deplorable is to get his Canadian pension he has to be in Canada over 1/2 the year. For sure he had a much better life and home in the Philippines and the government is forcing him to barely eke out a living 6 months of the year in Canada.

So according to this article, it didn't make it. www.fatherfiguresdocumentary.com/update-deconstruction-and-answers/But I wonder how much in residuals did 'Dale's' daughter give to him for being the subject of this documentary. While she has the scrote to tell him everything about it is wrong, she doesn't have a problem pocketing the money or taking bows from the accolades of this POV. I had a friend in a similar situation. He was 63 and she was 19. They had a child and he couldn't have been happier! This kind of thing happens more often than you think. The girl's family is happy to marry her off because that is one less mouth to feed and every American is rich in the eyes of impoverished Pinay! I really had considered going to the PI because of my friends in the Navy. Especially when he referred to them as 'LBFM's. I didn't like spending 26 hours on an airplane, (each way!)as opposed to Colombia at 5 hours max. But back to the point, I think this 'daughter' was a case of the 'pot calling the kettle black'!

I missed that part, but I've been getting a smal Canadian old age pension for 15 years without interruption, called Canada Pension Plan. His plan may be different, that sucks though. After his nasty daughter told the girl that he is broke and far from being a millionare her family probably said good bye to him and she hung on to get through nursing school. The Filippinas I've known in the States were all very calculating and worried how much they'll be able to send to their family. All those long flights must have cost a fortune. Maybe the daughter paid for those to give her a chance to harrass her dad. Had to laugh when she forbade him to sleep with his girl, to just pay for her school.
I know of at least two gringos with young women whose daughters tried to break them up, one actually succeded. He had several heart attacks and a stroke and his two daughters were a bit overweight and the colombiana trim and slim and that went over like a lead balloon. The two werent going to let the colombiana have his huge colonial home in a park-like setting. She had sent me pictures of it and her with him and his daughters. After she was back in Colombia he stopped all communication with her, without an explanation. Then she found a retired mining engineer in his early 80ties in Santiago, Chile and last I heard she's still with him but complained about the cold, about this time of year.

Didn't see your post, Stubby, when I posted. The old guy was right, you bring a young woman to a Western country and she'll get westernized, and the look on the face of his daughter said it all. That article above is from 2014, six years ago. Wonder if he is still alive.

Like I said, it happens more than you think. Peruse these photos for yourself: www.filipinas-to-usa.com/gallery.htmlAny Pinay would love to get their hands on a 'foreigner' to marry them. From a preferred standpoint, they would have you buy 'them' property in the PI, since as a foreigner, you could never own property. That way the 'family' would have a place to stay and she would go home with you! My experience with them when I was on internationalcupid.com was that most of them wanted to sell you nude photos of themselves as a way to earn income. Unfortunately, that seemed to be the trend for foreigners wanting nudes. I had a ton of young girls interested in me. Just to see what was going on, I engaged this one who was 19. She 'sealed the deal' as to why I didn't want anyone younger than 15 years from myself. These women, (they were actually mature), were surprised at my interest in them and didn't request any 'nudes'. One supposedly had a business there. Another was in Davao City and I was ready to dive at that one. I'm come to my senses when I realized there was too much island hopping that had to be done to meet at least 3 women I was interested in. They do tend to take care of their man. I remember my shipmate's wife taking care of all of us, making sure we had beer, lumpia and assortment of other foods to keep us satisfied while playing some 2 day marathon games. So it was true the stories that my friends who had previously gone to the PI said it was. Just a personal point of view.

Some of them are pretty quick tempered. I've seen one hit a guy in the head with the spike heel of her shoe. Another break a bottle and go after another sailor. Whenever anything started, I immediately boogied.

I think the Canadian Pension Plan (CPP) might be different to his defined pension plan. I plan on deferring using CPP until age 67 so I can max it out.
