If we are not already there yet..we will have a Quarantine in Colombia like in Ecuador.
Already closed the schools and universies and many businesses , the HP gymnasuim, most of the cines, bars and discoteques..and a curfew in most Departments ( here in Santander between 10 pm and 4 AM)
If they havent already started soon it will be travel ban on all highways and roads and no one to leave houses except to buy food or medical emergencies. And shutting swimming pools and athletic facilities in apartment complexes.
If it is like Ecuador soon the shelves in the stores will be bare.
I tried to stock up the best I could.
Also no flights , boats , buses or foot travel in or out of country until May 30.
I also noticed an extremely long line up at the cajeros and people taking out 6 million a pop. I AM REALLY WORRIED ABOUT A RUN RUN ON THE BANKS AND COLLAPSE OF THE FINANCIAL SYSTEM.
THIS WILL GO DOWN IS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE IN RECENT HISTORY..A MAN MADE ECONOMIC CATASTROPHE OVER NOTHING..
SO ARE YOU HAPPY YET CALI? WHAT WILL YOUR FAMILY DO TO YOU WHEN YOU CANT GET A DOLLAR OR PESO OUT OF THE CAJERO?
I feel.like a caged animal. There is no way people are going to take this for long.
WHAT IS THE REAL REASON THEY.ARE DOING THIS?
THERE IS SOMETHING THEY ARE NOT TELLING US..

Might be a run on banks in South America not in the USA. I will say if I was a store owner I would sell out and. Board up and arm myself the looting and riots probably 2 weeks away

You are an arrogant guy, but I respect your opinion and seem quite knowledgeable in financial matters. 1. If there is a run on the banks in say, colombia, and there is a shorage of paper pesos, we will still be able to use our international credit cards to meke purchases? 2. When this virus thing ends (and it will eventually, hopefully in the next 2 years) how long do you think it will take for the stock market to recover? in 1929 it took 25 years. If we recover a lot faster , why do you think it would be different from the great depression?

Not arrogant. I just say what I feel could careless about being politically correct and I live my life by my terms not the bullshit stereotypes I read so much about here. As for 1929 and today they are completely different events aside from the volatility in the market the cause is completely different. Markets will recover all the losses in 3 years and probably much less. Business should be normalized assuming a vaccine is found in 12 to 16 months and it will be a friendly environment going forward for years. As for being able to use your cards in colombia I wouldn’t count on anything I’d be prepared for a rough 3 to 6 months if things get like Italy. It’s already rough I mean by us standards here grocery stores empty and people out of work Best of luck to all I just did 6 miles walking and live my life the best I can

Your buddy who has been touting a V shaped recovery has just responded to you and has described a U shaped recovery. This is just beginning, how long until he moves to an L shaped recovery stance?

Who is my buddy ? And I personally don’t think it will be a hockey stock I do fully expect the stock to recovery fully in a few years as I posted above. I don’t care about treasuries , commodities or currencies.

I work for a large bank in US - branches will stay open - however only drive thru - you can still go in if you make an appointment - its not my area of the bank - but we have had conference calls emphasizing the bank will remain open - in my part of the bank - trade - we have not seen much of a reduction in flow yet - we deal with importers and exporters( local companies to large multinationals) - commodities are still flowing - things are ramping back up in China - long way to go but things are improving there

Goldman sachs has no clue. The GDP WORLD WIDE will fall AT LEAST 15% this year, 20% in the first 2 quarters Anualized. And this despite the Ponzi money printing scam being perpretrated by the global national reserve banks.

And this despite the Ponzi money printing scam being perpretrated by the global national reserve banks. The whole worlds economy will be greatly affected, not just South America. I know some a$$clowns watch the news and hear about the big V shaped recovery from parroting financial journalist stooges, but if this continues for awhile that won't happen. The US debt is out of control and is pumped up by freshly printed dollars.. Could end up with a rather enemic economy and no way to pay the debt..

Why does it bother some people if anything critical of colombia or soy th America is posted ? Goldman’s didn’t say other. Economies wouldn’t be hurt they said South America would be hurt badly and I happen to agree most of South America is based on energy and you could very well have oil under 15 a barrel this summer. On the plus side other than coffee and flowers and cocaine colombia has nothing to worry as it produces next to nothing. Let the rants begin

It will fall more than the US or the rest of the world and the peso will continue to be crushed. On the positive side of you actually have cash and want to buy in colombia it will probably be the best chance you get
