Wouldn't it make sense to shut off the water from Midnight to 8 AM instead?

Wouldn't it make sense to shut off the water from Midnight to 8 AM instead? You would think so wouldn't you. The company would probably have to pay over time. The unions probably against it. Health and safety reasons. Too much of an inconvenience for the workers. Nobody thought about it. You take your pick. Welcome to LoColombia. My Colombian wife...said that to me yesterday as we were crossing the road.....Welcome to LoColombia.

Cartagena is a city with a metro population of over 1 million - so instead of inconveniencing some workers they inconvenience over 1 million customers. Probably many in Cartagena woke up this morning surprised they had no water as difficult to get the word out to an entire city. Colombia is not known for having the best customer service and this is a perfect example.

Just have to make due I suppose until it returns. In Pereira some 12 years ago I went to my Locale as usual in the morning and the first time I attempted to turn on the water to make coffee no water? I started investigating and my neighbors had water. I traced it to the meter box and sometime during the night a Ladrone had stolen my water meter. The water from the city was metered and when I asked them for a new meter so I could have water they told me I had to buy my own new meter if I wanted water. I went to the hardware store and bought enough fittings, made a bypass connection so I had water and didn't say a word to the city. A couple weeks later they had installed a new meter in my box. Welcome to Colombia.
