Wanted to get some opinions of where I might ride the moto to - I limit it to 2 hours at the most one way - my butt can't take more than 4 hours a day on the moto.
Places I have been: La Ceja Retiro La Union Amaga Fredonia Caldas
Have been to Pintada and Jerico also - but anything further than those is really a 2 day trip.
Have not explored north at all and only west via car ( to Santa Fe ) I know BillF lives north of town but not really sure is there are small interesting towns up that way - trip will start in Envigado - so north and west means I have to get through most of Medellin - although using the Autopista isn't too bad - but once out of town prefer the back roads - less trucks and buses.
Any thoughts where I should head?
( been to Guatape also)

Check out Carmen del Viboral if you like china, and San Antonio de Pereira (a semi-autonomous vereda of Rionegro) if you like dessert bars, discos and restaurants. Always a lot of events in San Antonio de Pereira.

San Sebastian de Palmitas - this is the small town up the mountain as you head to Santa Fe. Just after the tunnel as you go down the hill around the first main bend, you can see the massive church on the hill, high above. Take the right turn-off and steep climb up - it is worth it and we had a great time exploring. It is only one street really, however magnificent views and painted houses etc. Really interesting. Climb further up and take the right for the old road back to Medellin - excellent views along the way and old burnt out restaurants (as this used to be the 3 /4 hour way to Santa Fe before the tunnel etc.
Santa Elena. Nice place to explore and a good way to get there (and avoid the tolls) is to take Ave Perico (turn off at the Meritage Project) which is a beautiful little road in itself.
El Retiro and then visit the waterfall Tequendamita.
If you go back to Santa Fe, after the suspension bridge, keep going for the little town of Sucre; it has a quite beautiful little town square and church.
San Antonio de Periera, as mentioned above, has a little fair each Sunday and gets packed.

bick - actually been to San Sebastian - just because it looked cool from down below - great views - was driving a car about 5 years ago when there.
Been to the waterfall last trip on the moto - was the only person there on a weekday.
Will be googling the others to check them out - thanks for the replies.
