Colombia and Australia being exploring free trade deal Australia’s trade minister left for Colombia to begin negotiations on a free trade agreement between the two countries, the minister announced Tuesday. According to Minister Steven Ciobo, he will visit both Chile and Colombia “to strengthen bilateral trade and investment links with both countries, including exploring the feasibility of a free trade agreement with Colombia.” “In Bogota I will meet Colombian Government Ministers and business leaders to explore how we can increase bilateral trade and investment to ensure the long-term prosperity of our people.” Australian Trade Minister Steven Ciobo The minister will also be visiting Chile, a country hat’s had a free trade pact with Australia in force since 2009. The minister told local media before leaving that Latin America offer major economic opportunities for his country particularly in the mining industry, technology, the service sector and education. Amid a wave of globalization, Colombia has closed free trade agreements with dozens of countries around the globe over the past two decades. The country’s biggest trade partner is currently the United States that has had a free trade deal with Colombia in force since 2012. colombiareports.com/colombia-australia-exploring-free-trade-deal/

Closer ties between Australia and Colombia is probably a good thing. Perhaps some time in the near future there might be an Australian Embassy in Colombia. That would be handy.

Great Idea Tell the Aussies you want to be the ambassador and you will use your home for the Embassy. You will only get about 5 visitors a year and the benifits will be great for you, like Diplomat plates for your Quatromoto.jajajajajajaja

With the one way immigration numbers as above--kind of displaces the theory of Colombia being one of the new exotic economies to live in-- Australia is as the U.S. ---- built by Englishmen who managed to establish the ingredients to become a 1st world country--
Interesting most other countries have still not managed to do so after 150 years--
Most probably due to ex-pat oil and mining companies -- which is why one should support Maduro and his policies to save Venezuela from these ex-pat thieves!! Yankee go home---

Chupacabras are where ever Spanish people are. Here in PR they are everywhere, but never seen or will ever seen one. Chupacabras are seen by people who rush to the places with bbq grills, iceboxes full of beer, etc. But return with not even a photo. But believe me, they don't give up. When a sighting is reported is when another party begins.

Beats me why there are so many foreign students in Australia. I think Australia has a huge rip-off system in place where foreign students are charged 5 times the cost of local students but sit together in the same classes.

Permanent Residency is the ultimate aim for most foreign students I imagine.
