Living in Florida, lots of mosquitos but they don't bother me much , when they do bite - I don't have any issues. Not sure what got me st Arvi, the bugs seemed small but 2 days later have left large red welts - mosquitos or something else? They did not seem to bother the wife or girls, just gringo lov'in bugs I guess

And now in Dade County Florida they've had about 25 cases of Zika from people who haven't traveled overseas. So I guess it's finally hit the States. Here, I haven't seen many mosquitos, not where I stay in Medellin, or El Carmen, but I went to a friend in Belen, and there was a mosquito, only one, but it bothered the heck out of me. It's not Zika I'm scared of but that other paralyzing disease they carry. Wherever I lived in Florida, it wasn't a matter of getting bitten, but how many times you'd get bit. But the one bug that bothered me most were the "no seums" that swarmed you near the coast and they would itch and welt up. Drive you nuts. noseeums.org/
