Everybody to Pacholandiaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!! It is Fair week here you really do not want to be here this week. Today is the horse parade in a few more hours the riders will start falling off their horses drunk. The horses will be going home by them selves down the middle of the road. We will be hearing drunks and music all night long.

Enjoy the party on hump day also. I'll send some NY Strip steaks covered with shrimps and melted mozzarella over the top.
I'll stay home and watch Friends reruns.

colombian independence day is very sad here,at least in medellin, most people were more interested in the football game than their own country, really sad how little independence day was celebrated.

And what would they celebrate-the safety and serenity of their city?-the abundance of good paying jobs?-the excellent police force?

Mudd, for me that thinking is a little strange. What's sad is that they have very little to celebrate, especially as it relates to independence. I've read your posts from several different boards over the years and do not recall many positive posts about Medellin or Colombia. I imagine that even if you are poor by US standards that you are probably better off than 80% of the Colombian people-when are you going to start celebrating? Do you sing "Oh Gloria" at 6 am and 6 pm every day?

funny, nobody seems to care about their freedom, until somebody takes it away from them. colombia does have a lot of problems, but also has a lot to offer.

20 de Julio fell on a weekday;hence the lack of celebrations...a little piss up and back to work. Many Colombian labourers work 6 days a week;a national holiday is as good reason to let loose.

Geez even I, know what D.C. stands for, and the year when the Declaration of Independence was signed. And I am not a US citizen.

The dumbing down of America project has been very successful. Makes them easier to control and to make them believe they are free.

It's a testament to the American education system.
