billyb said: That aint what I'm talking about. His buddy, Jeffery Epstein flew him to Jamaica on his private jet (several times!). There are allegations that he was diddling the youngsters there! But like before, (and his wife), he will get away with the charges!

That's right, the kiddie flights. Sickening how they get away with all sorts of shit, and their supporters don't bat an eye.

Here's a quick translation of that news article in Spanish: www.vivirenelpoblado.com/periodico/en-medellin-capturan-a-extranjero-vinculado-a-explotacion-sexual-de-menores" In El Poblado they captured a foreigner linked to sexual exploitation of childrenThe National Police with the support of the Embassy of the United States dismantled a criminal organization dedicated to pimping and sexual exploitation of girls from 13 years. According to official information, the criminal organization was led by the US citizen Jay Harry Drivas, alias "Jake". The National Police said that this man used social networking and other information technologies to capture and induce minors to sexual activity and hallucinogens. In the development of Jake operation, which was on July 7, authorities also captured another man and rescued a 13-year-old who was found at the site being exploited sexually. The minor was made available to Family Welfare, as the two men will face charges for crimes of prostitution, pimping minors, trafficking, manufacturing and possession of narcotics. The Ministry of Security of Medellin, said the man was arrested in the apartment 902 of a building located on Calle 38, a few blocks from the Provenza and Parque Lleras neighborhood, where the man was a two-month resident. The property consists of three bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, dining room and balcony where foreigners had installed an inflatable jacuzzi. According to photographs visible on the website where sexual services were offered, this apartment was the place where came hundreds of women, including minors, for at least one year. According to information published on the same site, the apartment was rented from $ 75 plus company for 6 hours. The value could increase to $ 99 if the client wanted a "happy ending" by women. Similarly, the web was used to offer so-called "narco-tours" to properties of Pablo Escobar and bars in the city. So far the national authorities, with the support of the American Embassy in the process of prosecution of these two men, who would be the first caught by this illegal activity that increasingly is being seen in the city. Likewise, the authorities have serious indications that the head of these criminal organizations engaged in the sexual exploitation of minors are foreign nationals, because according to preliminary information, the murder of an Israeli citizen a couple of weeks ago in Medellin, would be linked to a network dedicated to sexual and drug trafficking attending the demand of visitors who came to the city in search of sex and drugs exploitation. It is expected that in the coming hours a ruling by the civilian authorities and police of the city, to determine if this will also enter into a process of asset forfeiture."

Great, now we believe is true. Well, I did all the time, but didn't read much. What country is this guy is from? He's from the US and the US Embassy reportedly supported the arrest effort. From the news he was dealing with underage girls - so likely to be in prison for a very long time.

Well a long time is very subjective. Poppeye the mass murderer of 100s got 22 years. So by those standards he will probably get a couple years.

He might waive extradition and plead to something in the US instead of going to a Colombian prison.

It took them at least 4 freakin years to nail the bugger , and everbody (and I mean everybody) knew about this slimey pervert for years.
shows you how slow the justice system works in Colombia.
And people are all paranoid that otherwise law abiding expats (and many 1000s of them) have to stay awake at night trembling because they might a "tap on the shoulder" by a DIAN agent at the airport because they didnt file a "Declaration de Renta" and declare their world wide assets.
Or maybe they didnt pay their part time maid vacation time and buy her a uniform...
Jeez, they better make room in prison besides Jake for everyone..
LMAOF..

Possibly was due to there being a new mayor in Medellín. The previous one didn't do anything in El Pobaldo to address the decline of Parque Lleras. The new mayor appears to be taking some actions...
Hope it keeps up...

Well, if they put him in jail in Colombia then he will be the victim and well deserved. And when he gets out, he better flee the area. Some one may put a tunnel between his ears.

Here is the story from Colombia Reports in English. colombiareports.com/medellin-begins-cracking-sex-tourism/Someone got caught red handed with a 13 yr old. According to local newspaper Vivir en Poblado, sex tourism provider Jay Harry Drivas, a.k.a. “Colombia Jake” and an alleged client were arrested Thursday last week while in the presence of a 13-year-old girl.

There is an article in Colombia Journal now......it says he was with a 13 year old...with drugs..and another person....If true he is toast...but it sounds like a laundry list of charges to me...someone said he was arrested on his bike....that would be new news...

Good news, these scumbags give the rest of us a bad name. Hope the authorities do the same to everyone involved in the trade, Colombians included.
Hopefully now people will stop defending the lax attitudes to this sordid business that has prevailed in Medellin for years, just because they live there.

It is great they are taking these scumbags out but to think it is going to be a change of policy in MDE I doubt it really. If it was known some pressure came down about the recent killings of visitors and expats. It is easier to take out a few expat criminals then to tackle the big problem.More news media from a few expats then 100 Colombian pimps. The police and politicians can say look we are working hard on this and live goes on.
