How come they send them to Colombia? Or do they not nees a visa for Colombia? I figure they should be sent back to their home country.

Apperntly they arrive somehow in Ecuador then work their way north. The position of Panamá is that Colombia is the place they directly arrived from when they crossed into Panamá so that's where they're returned to.

I would lay better odds they are hitting South America on the eastern side like Brazil then working their way north on boats or ships going to Panama or close to the Canal and getting off.

Where ever they're coming from they're amassing in Turbo before crossing the Golfo de Uraba and the mayor is freaking out saying the city doesn't have the resources to deal with them and asking for help from the national government.
