It was actually quite a good site for most of the time .....but hey ......who are we to dwell on the past.
Anyway we are now one big happy family here on colombia Connections.

RIP About time - once the moderation stopped it got infiltrated by nonsense I agree! It's been worthless and a waste of time to look at gringos.com for a while now.

Gee,let's see what the leftover trolls have to say now that their playground has turned into one big billboard.

It's been an interesting social experiment, as someone said, though. It definitely showed how much moderators are needed.

I'm still trying to get used to this site. One of the best things Gringos Colombia had going was that there were no sub-forums. I think this place would be much more active if they cut the sub-forums.
Gringos also had a better interface for mobile devices.

I think this place would be much more active if they cut the sub-forums. Gringos also had a better interface for mobile devices. But this site really only has two Colombia sub-forums - "Anything Colombia" and "Colombia Travel" with "Anything Colombia" being the active one. I'm not counting the ex-gringos.com club... The other sub-forums are "The Neighborhood", which is equivalent of all the other LATAM country forums on gringos.com. All the other sub-forums such as "Word Events" "Health" "Jokes", etc. are general and didn't have an equivalent on gringos.com. IMHO you shouldn't post Colombia topics under "General discussion" as that should be for any general discussion items that are not related to Colombia. Otherwise they will be buried in the general sub-forum with all the other stuff.

I agree with LM. This General Discussion forum is disturbing since there are several Colombia centered topics there.

Probably. Is it good news, not sure ;-) I still have to find my feet here. Plus I moved to Bogota 2 weeks ago, and have a lot of things to think about.
