Actually if you overlay the US debt over that graph you would think its a joke Colombia is in that situation. The US debt is at a point it can never be paid off. Colombia isnt in that bad of shape. The only difference is they dont monetize there debt.

There is a reason they don't monetize the debt. Nobody wants it! Meantime the dollar is the reserve currency and the US knows it never has to pay the debt

Whats happening in Colombia is only a pre-cursor of what is going to happen world wide. First with Developing countries, and later with developed countries. Basically another sign of collapse of Western Civilizatin. The ony ones that will eventually come out ahead is the Peoples Republic of China

There is a reason they don't monetize the debt. Nobody wants it! No one is buying the US debt either. That's why they have to monetize it.

when you guys stop trying to compare Colombia to the USA you will be much better off. The peso is going no place but down Colombia has no economy and not a ton of options to try and fix it self in the near future. Enjoy it for what it is and expect nothing but more violence and dissatisfaction from the population for years to come. I wouldn't buy anything there and I'd have an exit plan if I did own anything. As for US debt there is a ton being held around the world and more to come let me know when china takes over LOL I have heard the same for 20 years on these forums and nothing has happened.

As for US debt there is a ton being held around the world and more to come let me know when china takes over LOL I have heard the same for 20 years on these forums and nothing has happened. Im not comparing the US to Colombia. I love the exchange rate. But the US is going to have a massive reckoning. The banks and billionaires are diversifying out of the USD and buying bitcoin. When you see Goldman Sachs, Bazos and Elon investing billions in Bitcoin it makes you think they see the writing on the wall. I don't have all my eggs in one basket and am looking for other ways to diversify more out of the USD. Inflation is underway and is bound to get a lot worse. Especially with the trillions in new spending being proposed and unchecked for at least the next 2 years. Lumber prices have already skyrocketed 50% to 100% which will affect housing and that is a huge part of the US economy. Fuel prices up big affecting everything you buy. It doesn't have to be that way, but as long as we have politicians more interested in there next election than the well being of the US economy things are only going to get worse. The current batch of politicians seem to have abandoned any fiscal responsibility. You cant just turn on the printing press and print unlimited dollars with no consequences. You talk about violence and dissatisfaction in Colombia but take a look at the dissatisfaction in the US. BLM and ANTIFA rioting at the drop of a hat. Cities where police have been banished from showing up to enforce even basic security. Maybe your living in a bubble where you don't see this stuff, but many in Colombia are the same and never see the violence and dissatisfaction. But that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
