Does seem a little extreme, considering that according to the stats, they have had 120 deaths in all of Ecuador.

Does seem a little extreme, considering that according to the stats, they have had 120 deaths in all of Ecuador. If it is true all these deaths are not from the virus. Once again its a statistical / mathematical logic reasonining explanation here. The story is the authorities wont go into the barrios to pick up dead bodies..not people who died from Caronavirus necesarily Guayaquil is a big city, the size of Medelin..a little over 3 million. Lets assume 1 million people live in the poorest barrios. Of these million people say 85% live to 85 years or less. A reasonable asumption in a poor barrio in a developing country. Therefore under normal circumstances without the virus 1,000,000 × 0.85 ÷ 85 = 10,000 die in a year. Or about 30 a day. Leave it for a week and you have a couple hundred bodies...plus the ones from the virus

Guayaquil has 120 funerals, but only 20 were working because of the restrictions. Also outside Guayaquil graves are much cheaper, but no transport.

Guayaquil has 120 funerals, but only 20 were working because of the restrictions. Also outside Guayaquil graves are much cheaper, but no transport. So there you have it.3.5 million people in Guayaquil snd pretty well all die off im 100 years thats an average of 35000 a year( actually a lot higher because 99% will die off a lot earlier).Thats almost a 100 bodies a day they gotta get rid of and the funerarias working at 20% capacity means they can.only get rid of 20.and the other 80 per day just accumulate..and very few would be due to Corona Virus. Theses are rough numbers with a few asusumptions but you get the idea. Anyway sounds lime a Real bureaucratic foch up..you would think.funeral.parlors would be considered an esential service .like human waste disposal

You don’t actually believe the stats of these 3rd world countries do you I don't believe any of the Stats regardless of where they're from. Where I'm at you can't even get a test unless you're practically dead, they have very limited tests because they are rationed, and I'm in the States. The numbers here get updated daily. I have to believe the numbers don't fully represent the actual numbers, therefore I believe they're just guesstimates. www.bing.com/covid?form=msntrk

According to the stats, you are about 50 times more likely to die of the virus if you are in the USA than in Colombia. Puhlleaaze.

The news media is really hyping the "emergency situation" of the US hospitals. I wouldn't want to be in a NYC hospital, but most of the US are in no way full of virus patients. There are maybe 15 or 20 hospitals in hot spots that are full. The rest of the country is business as usual with maybe a handful of patients here and there.

Ecuador cases keep increasing. Yesterday a little less than the day before, but still over 300.
Deaths will surge is a couple weeks because of the delay.
More of those bodies acumulating in Guayaquil will be due to the Virus. Still wont make up the majority though. Better to get the Funerarios back in service.
Imagine the other health risks of all those bodies? Bubonic plague and typhoid. How stupid can people get. The guy who thought of that reg should at least be jailed for life.

I would take the US (Texas or Oregon or Wyoming) over Ecuador anyday, but where I am in Florida Blanca Santander, they have some of the best clinics and hospitals in Colombia, and because it is so isolated and so few tourists and foreigners, and thetu¡y are very strict with the lock down, it has some of the lowest rates in the world. Scum, to be totally serious and honest and not posting trollish ridiculous posts like the New Jersy guy, if anyone should be lloking at an emergency flight, it should be you and your wife. Any opportunity for that from Ecuador? On the other hand, they have been in quarantine over 2 weeks and should see some results soon theoretically. Maybe wait a couple weeks and see what happns, but take care. The US has such a hodge podge system when it comes to healthcare and quarantine restrictions. If you stay out of the NE states and Louisiana it is not QUITE so bad,and better healthcare facilities. The issue is getting on the plane with al those other people for several hours, and who knows where the plane has been. Also if you want to get outof the hot Spot, more flights required, Quite complicated really,

Aren't you one of the ones a month ago saying its totally overblown? Now telling me to run for the hills. LOL Not that I blame you because I was teetering on the edge of thinking that way too. Unsarcastically thanks for the concern. Truthfully I am quite comfortable here and no plan to leave. Here its like the US with a couple hot spots but most of the country inst bad. Guayaquile is the problem child with most of the cases. Its like NYC in the US. The 2 big cities near us are (Manta 1 hour and Portoviejo 40 min away). The last I saw Manta had 32 cases and Portoviejo had 25. Our nearest small town is 10 min and we don't have a reported case. We have found a local delivery service that will do our shopping and drop it of to us for a $20 fee. Under the circumstances I think its well worth it. We were well stocked and just topped off our supplies yesterday for the first time. I live in a gated, private development with only 4 full time families here. All expats. We all use the delivery service and keep the gate locked. We have our private beach. I just ran 10k of deserted beach this morning. 3 of the 4 expats have pools. We still hang out like there was no lock-down because our development is isolated. We are having a BBQ Thursday with all 4 families for a birthday. We plan to just stay holed up in our own little world till it blows over. Truthfully I will be more worried once things start to go back to normal. Once people start moving around again anyone around you could have it.

Sounds nice, nice run, nice Beach etc. I'm a little jeolous as I'm much more limited here in Envigado, even my dog is pissed at me because our routine was to take a long walk every afternoon.. The only thing that sounds bad is $20 for delivery, I pay about $1 and sometimes it's a pretty girl on a moto..

This delivery service did 2 weeks worth of grocery shopping for us for $20. Fruits, vegetables, meats, cheese. About $200 worth of goods. We probably could easily go a month without shopping but not knowing what the future holds we will continue to top off supplies every few weeks. Three of the families here went together and he went to MegaMaxi in Portoviejo and ended up buying about $600 worth of groceries for a $60 charge in one trip. We have a BBQ Thurs so we needed to stock up on beer and rib-eye steaks. LOL I always loved the ocean too so now living right on the beach. A short beach drone video of the area. www.bitchute.com/video/V5eQHRhdVGB6/

I have a reflector on the antennas to reflect all the signal forward. It seems to help. Its a DJI Phantom 3 Pro. I really like it. I don't use it enough to get as smooth on the controls as I would like. BTW.. That isnt me on the beach in the video. I was farther away on a balcony of one of the houses.
