United States now has the most coronavirus cases in the world and has surpassed China with 81.340 cases, if China's figures can be taken seriously that is, to me almost 75.000 recoveries sound unrealistic. After all, China's worldwide prestige is at stake.
US registered nearly 86,000 cases including more than 1800 recoveries; 1.300+ corona deaths.
Is Colombia a safer place to be? We shall soon find out. Give it a couple of months. The problem in Colombia is the time it takes testing for the virus. While the US has nearly instant FDA approved 45 minute test results, developed by the CA firm Cepheid, test probes in Colombia have to be sent to a lab which still seems to be located in Bogotá only, not sure, and test results will be returned in a few days. Rapid testing is vital to slow down the spread, so patients who are infected can be isolated and treated if necessary and others can go on with their life's. Hundreds if not thousands of unknown corona cases are present in every country worldwide at the moment and that is one reason the virus keeps spreading.
