This ordeal could just fade away in a couple, three months or get totally out of hand like in Italy and lately in Spain.
I also think that countries who have a high percentage of smokers like Spain (30%) and Italy (24%) have a much higher death rate than Colombia (11%) would and living in a place with low temperatures will aggravate any respiratory ailments like pneumonia.
Here some good advise from an expert:
'Don't lose your head, because panic robs energy and weakens the immune system. At the same time, however, avoid excessive optimism, do not hide risks'.

France to deploy 100.000 police to enforce corona virus lockdown -
People still don't get it and think it's all a big joke.

Im beginning to wonder if its all just a big joke.. There are just not the death counts they hyped it to be. Sure there are some high percentages.. But they are not testing everyone. And the ones that get it and its just like a mild cold are never tested. I think the true death rate is much, much lower. Maybe its really not much worse than the flue.

While corona virus reports coming out of Asia and Arab countries and their closed societies could be questionable I can't see how western countries like Italy with 2158 deaths (today's numbers for Europe aren't out yet), Spain 342 deaths and France 148 deaths could make false claims, in countries that are swarming with investigative journalists looking every minute for alarming headlines. What motives would these countries have to lie about their death if it shuts down one of the largest of their income sources like tourism, with large hotels, restaurants and tourist attractions having been closed, no more sightseeing tours and airlines having grounded most of their planes? And it is absolutely not true that the corona virus claims fewer deaths than the common flu or influenza. The percentage of corona deaths compared to the flu is overwhelming no matter what some deranged conspirators on YouTube or forums are trying to convey. It never seizes to amaze me how some people are trying to paint a picture in their mind that suits their desires and ignore realities. Or they are simply driven by profits, who knows what makes them tick. www.sciencealert.com/the-new-coronavirus-isn-t-like-the-flu-but-they-have-one-big-thing-in-common

IF IT IS A JOKE IT IS THE CRUELEST JOKE IN RECENT HISTORY. RANKS UP THERE WITH PEARL HARBOUR, ARCHDUKE FERDINAND AND THE 1941 GERMAN ATTACK ON RUSSIA

I think they are just testing the systems for when the "big one" really does come.

Any person with an agenda can open up a website and write articles or make YouTube videos, even some physicians are paid well to make false statements in so called 'Health' related sites and forget all about the Hippocratic Oath they took, so we'll get a greedy and deranged persons moronic opinion, no more. You always need to consider the source. The egg industry is a good example with their phony 'Health' websites, all of them suggesting for heart patients to eat eggs because they are beneficial and egg yolk raises your HDL cholesterol (which is desirable), while professional cardiology publications advise against it because excessive cholesterol will block main arteries and cause heart disease, still the number one killer in our society.

Almost a 100 virus cases now in Colombia since March 6, only 12 days ago.
Close to 9000 deaths world wide, 1000 a day, almost 500 of those in Italy in one day, Italy has close to 36.000 cases now, 2257 in ICU.
Corona cases in the US approaching 10.000, 155 dead already

I'm beginning to wonder if China floated this as a test virus.. Amazing affects on the world's economy.. For me it has demonstrated how fragile the world's economies are and how fast this house of cards can fall. What will happen when China or some other bad actor releases a much worse virus?

China depends on it's export market more than anything and if the worlds economies are in the cellar China's economy suffers even more. I also can't see why China would take the risk to kill off thousands of it's own people in the process (well, that part is debatable) and face huge economic costs to combat the virus and it's aftermath. China has lost more than 3000 people, lots of them professional health workers and other valuable citizens. Italy has lost nearly as many people with less than half of China's virus cases. Of course nobody could foresee how Italy of all countries would be faced with such an enormous virus onslaught and such unimaginable loss of life for a country of only 60 million, 10 million more than Colombia's population.
Also nobody could imagine that this virus outbreak would have such an impact on First World economies and reduce most investments by one third with little relief in sight for the near future. But then the bull market has lasted longer than any previous one.
We were overdue for a correction anyway.

Remember the Chinese are known for killing female babies, they have plenty of people- might even help them to cull the herd some..
