So, if sunlight in Colombia is basically 12-12 all year round, then while cannabis should hypothetically be able to flower any time of year, when does it grow (veg) in the wild? Or how does that work in Colombia?
Are the "summer" months (say, April thru September) realistically longer, such that any cannabis plant knows the difference, and flowers in the "fall"? Or how does that work?
And when I was in Panamá, October was the height of the rainy season. Is October the height of rain in Colombia also, such that mold would be a bigger issue around harvest time? Or how does all of that go?

Colombia weed growers have modernized growing outdoors many now use lights to speed up process. In the 60's 70's the main weed crops were planted in the beginning of the wet season and harvested at the beginning of the dry season.Weather patterns were more reliable 30 - 50 years ago, ganja farmers could dry their crops in the field without fear of the rains ruining it...thus effecting the need for shelter or more modern drying techniques. www.wikileaf.com/strain/colombian-gold/

BG. Jorge Cervantes actually had a video series on the locals in Colombia growing cannabis. We had some of them posted on here. Unfortunately, before he could post all of the videos, YouTube started removing all the cannabis channels. He did however show Colombian plantations growing outside at night. They had a few lights strung up over the plants just to simulate some dim light. It wasn’t much light for the size of the grow, but apparently even a dim light for an additional 6 hours will keep the plants in veg giving them time to get bigger. I also read an article recently that you can grow normal cannabis plants under 12 hours light, but they will go into flower early and be much smaller than normal. Some showed signs of deformity but it was stated the affects were still the same.

Marijuana tends to adapt to any weather which is not extreme. Auto fems will grow 12/12 from seedlings to harvest or full 24 hours of light. I have some growing at 20/4 from seedlings and are now flowering already after 5 weeks.

Hi there! I'm not actually sure about when cannabis flowers in the wild in Columbia, but I know it's well available online, more info on Licensed Producer Canada website. Btw, growing cannabis indoors is easy. You can buy everything you need online.
