All and all I have 6 trips to San Andres under my belt;call it fate or convenience,it just seems to fit in. On this particular trip I connected with a forum member, some may remember him from other forums, hopefully this will jog his memory.Anyway the internet and expat forums such as this offers a place for liked minded people to meet up.

Thanks barrumundi ! El Centro is a good place to shop for food;Exito and another grocery store have basic food supplies. We rented a small house and were tipped off to bring a supply of fresh fruit and vegetables with us from Bogota. We had fresh salads and the forum buddy came by to help us eat it.There is a good roast chicken place near the airport,as well the fisherman have an offloading facility near there and a restaurant near there which is also part of the Co -op. San Andres is a duty-fee zone, stock up on duty-free liquor, poke around and compare prices. S.A Fisherman's Co-op

Bread fruit tree San Andres is surprisingly lush and tropical vegetation is abundant for such a small island.Get out of the populated N.End and discover green zones in La Loma and just off the main road.

Cereveza was only a stumble away! The Paisa tienducha, Paisa's are like the Jews/Turcos of Colombia; if there's businesses to be had, chances are a Paisa run's it
